Daily Golf Course status updates & course maintenance information. In order to enhance the quality of our golf course it is necessary to carry out essential maintenance and will post status on this page.
Unfortunately the rain is expected to return tonight and saturday morning which could leave us with a lot of wet areas on the course, Buggys must stay on paths at all times, trolleys must stay on paths on holes 1 to 9, winter wheeled trolleys must stick to paths also unless the sign at the tee on that hole indicates otherwise, please be careful as it will be slippery in places. There may be a few temp greens saturday and sunday and they will be reviewed during the morning set ups, please check with the pro shop for any updates, and enjoy your round.
Another day without rain and no frost this morning so no temps at present apart from 2nd which may change after a course inspection, Buggys are to paths only, trolleys are to paths only on holes 1-9 and winter wheeled trolleys must stay on paths where asked by the signs at the tee of certain holes. Please also note the 8th is still playing to the practice green and the 16th is playing as a par 3 presently. Enjoy your round.
We had more rain last night, so the course is still very wet in places so please use the paths as directed to try and protect our course. Remember we cant change the weather! Buggy’s are to stick to paths at all times , trolleys must stay on the paths holes 1-9. winter wheeled trolleys are OK to take off paths unless a sign at the tee of a hole asks you to stay on the paths. there will be some temporary greens. We appreciate its tough out there , we are trying to work in it ! We are also sticking to paths as much as we can, but we have to do certain jobs on greens which involves us having to take certain machines off the paths. thank you and have a good round.
More rain last night (12mm) and more forecast. Most golf course have trolleys off now so please use the paths as directed to try and protect our course. Remember we can change the weather! Buggy’s are to paths only at all times , trolleys must stay on the paths holes 1-9. winter wheeled trolleys are OK to take off paths unless a sign at the tee of a hole asks you to stay on the paths. there will be some temporary greens. We appreciate its tough out there , we are trying to work in it ! We are also sticking to paths as much as we can, but we have to do certain jobs on greens which involves us having to take certain machines off the paths.
Cold fresh start this morning, but the forecast is just for a chance of a shower. Buggys are to paths only, trolleys must stay on the paths on holes 1-9. winter wheeled trolleys are allowed off the paths unless stated at the tee of the hole you are playing. Many thanks
It’s a definite Duvet day as the rain continues and its very blustery. To date we have had over 17mm , 3/4 of an inch, of rain in the last 24 hours. Buggy’s are to paths at all times, Trolleys are to stay on the paths holes 1-9 at all times unless you have winter wheels . There will be some holes where signs ask the winter wheel trolleys to also stay on paths. There will also be some temporary greens, please check with the pro shop for details
-1 this morning and we have a frost . All greens will be on temporary greens until the frost clears. Buggy’s are to paths only and trolleys, except winter wheels are paths only on holes 1-9
The drought of last year seems a distant past but let’s try not to forget how dry we have been. However , its forecast another wet week but hopefully that will change. Buggy’s are on but strictly paths only. Trolleys can you please stick to the paths on the front 9 holes unless you have winter wheels. Trolleys are OK on the back 9 . They maybe a couple of temporary greens please check with the pro shop for details.
The picture above shows Cluee having to retrieve a golf club that had allegedly slipped out of a golfers hand as he played his shot? Well that’s what the member told me! He will remain anonymous . Personally I think it had been thrown up in frustration of a bad shot into a tree on the 18th hole!
Frustratingly for us ,we have had more rain and the forecast is not great, So all buggy’s must stick to the paths at all times and we also ask that Trolley’s stick to the paths on the Front 9 holes at all times unless you have the approved ‘Winter Wheels’ on your Trolley. Thank you
There maybe a few temporary greens in play, please check with the pro shop for details
BY THE WAY MITCHELL SUMMERS I HAVE PUT YOUR 7 IRON WE RESCUED IN THE PRO SHOP FOR YOU TO PICK UP ! LOL
Well we have had until today, a good drying week and that’s enabled us to get a lot of work done on the course
APPROACHES BEING CUT …….. AND SOME LEAVES
We have cut the Range, cut all the Rough, cut approaches, cut greens twice, cut surrounds and also chnaged holes
VERTI-DRANING THE 11TH FAIRWAY…….AND SOME LEAVES
We have also managed to get the shattermaster and Verti-drain out on some of the fairways which are both doing a great job.
Finally the last two paths have been dug out and ready for filling up next week
13TH PATH BEING DUG OUT….. AND SOME LEAVES!
We have also blown and cleared the thousands of leaves that are now starting to heavily fall.
Sadly by the time you play this weekend we have had another deluge of rain and the leaves are covering the Course, but honestly it did not look like that yesterday!
Well chuffed with one of our new lady members who is not only sticking to the paths with her trolley but she is even playing to the paths ! Now that’s caring about your Course ! Thank you
THAT’S LOOKING AFTER YOUR COURSE
Owing to all the rain we have had the last night and what is forecast over the weekend, can Trolleys now stick to the paths at all times on thefront 9 holes please, unless you have the approved ‘Winter Wheels’ on your Trolley. Also Bugg’ys obviously must stay on the paths at ALL times. Please stay in the right hand rough on the 13th and to the left of the path on the 14th rough. For all Golfers it really is a more pleasant walk by sticking to the paths when possible.
Many thanks for your help on this issue and can i ask all of you if you see anyone not sticking to what we have asked to please tell that Golfer to adhere to our requests, they are only spoiling YOUR Golf Course.
That’s it for now. Good luck to on England Saturday Morning
COME ON ENGLAND, BRING IT HOME!
ENJOY YOUR COURSE, ENJOY YOUR CLUB………….IT’S YOURS REMEMBER!
