Abridge is a very welcoming and friendly golf club, where you can always find a game. With a range of golf memberships options from 7 day, 5 day to twilight membership we have plenty of options to suit different lifestyles.
You can either come and meet your friends by arranging a game and booking online, or join one of our regular “swindles” that meet on most days, and WHATSAPP groups to help new members arrange games.
On weekends we have reserved tee times exclusively for members before 12.00 pm. If you are on your own, they will find you someone to play with.
Within the club we run Monthly medals and Stablefords, midweek and weekends. We have a number of knockout competitions (with different handicap categories). Our Club Championship is in June with Major competitions throughout the summer. Plus lots more activities throughout the year, summer and winter.
You will have lots of opportunities to play in interclub matches. We are part of the Essex Golf Union and put teams into all of their Major Competitions, including Thornton Challenge Cup, Leslie F Wood Championship, Seniors Championship, Norman Plum and Jubilee Cups. We play Interclub friendly seniors matches most weeks and along with our sister clubs of the AJGC we play regular interclub matches throughout Britain.
So you see there is plenty of golf at Abridge – from a friendly four ball to fiercely contested Club and Interclub matches.
